Theatre Georgian Bay is delighted to invite Simcoe and Grey/Bruce County actors to audition for our summer 2024 production of Shakespeare’s most popular comedy!  We are very interested in meeting local actors who are interested in our company!

For this production, we are seeking actors to fill two types of roles:

1. Several larger roles which require experienced actors.  Actors playing these larger roles will be paid via a revenue-share system.

AND

2. Roles in an ensemble of townspeople.  These ensemble roles are volunteer and can provide a learning opportunity for community actors to work in a professional setting (while having a heck of a lotta fun!)

Larger roles to be cast:

Hero – female (16 to 30 years old)

Leonato – male or female (30 to- 70 years old)

Margaret/Antonio (merged part) – male or female ( 30 to 70 years old)

Claudio – male (18 to 30 years old)

Don Pedro – male (30 to 70 years old)

Balthasar* – male or female (18 to 60 years older)
*Proficiency in singing and guitar playing would be an asset.

Dogberry and Don John – male or female (20 to 70 years old)

Borachio – male (18 to 70 years old)

  • All actors may double in other smaller roles.

  • Please note that the roles of Beatrice and Bendick have already been cast.
