Theatre Georgian Bay is delighted to invite Simcoe and Grey/Bruce County actors to audition for our summer 2026 production of one of Shakespeare’s most popular comedies! We are very interested in meeting local actors who are interested in our company!

For this production, we are seeking actors to fill two types of roles:

1. Larger roles (or tracks of two or more roles) which require experienced actors. Actors playing these larger roles will be paid via a revenue-share system.

2. Smaller Roles in an ensemble. These roles are volunteer and can provide a learning opportunity for community actors to work in a professional setting (while having a heck of a lotta fun!)

Performances: 

• Take place outdoors at the Shipyards Amphitheatre in Collingwood (on the water at the foot of Maple Street.)

• All cast members must be available for all performances

● Rehearsals will take place in Collingwood.

● Rehearsal times are deliberately afternoon/evening to allow people with ‘day jobs’ to participate

Please note:

• All actors also act as crew for the show, assembling and striking the set at each performance.

• TGB cannot offer living accommodations for actors who don’t either live or have a place to stay within commuting distance to Collingwood.

• All cast members will not be called for all rehearsals.

• Auditions will be by appointment and will take place on:

  Please prepare a short speech for the audition.  If you are interested in a larger role, please have it be from Shakespeare or another pre-20th-century work.
