OUR 1ST BARD ON THE BAY
TWELFTH NIGHT
BY WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE
For the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare’s death, Theatre Georgian Bay held its inaugural Bard on the Bay Shakespeare festival in Collingwood, presenting Twelfth Night OUTDOORS at the Collingwood Amphitheatre on Sunday afternoons/evenings and Thursday evenings from July 17 – August 7, 2016.
Our Bard on the Bay performances were offered to the community as a pay-as-you-are-able event. Our goal is to make theatre accessible and affordable for our audiences. This way, families can all come and enjoy an evening of theatre without breaking the bank!
SYNOPSIS
Viola and her twin brother Sebastian have been shipwrecked off the coast of Illyria. Each believes that the other has been drowned. Viola disguises herself as a boy and, under the name of Cesario, enters the service of the duke Orsino.
