A former secondary school drama teacher, Stephanie combined her love for theatre and working with young people to create Sandcastle Theatre in 2002. Since that time, Stephanie has been instrumental in putting several hundred young people on stage and entertaining thousands more at theatres, schools and community venues across Grey-Bruce.
Directing credits include: Oliver! (Meaford Hall), The Secret Life of Girls (Roxy Theatre), Back in Time (Roxy Theatre), The Emperor's New Clothes (Simcoe Street Theatre) Cinderella: A Christmas Panto (Roxy Theatre), Annie Jr. (Meaford Hall), The Wizard of Oz, Peter Pan, Twelve Dancing Princesses, The Prince and the Pauper, The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, Kidsummer Night’s Dream and the original musicals, Fitting In and Brave.
Although most often found in the role of director, Stephanie’s first love is writing and acting. She was recently found performing in the play Little Miss Understood which she wrote with her teenage daughter and performed at churches, community venues and Fringe Festivals from Montreal to Edmonton, as well as at the Simcoe Street Theatre in Collingwood.
She is looking forward to this new artistic and professional venture in Theatre Georgian Bay with co-founder Nadia Mear.
