Theatre Georgian Bay is very excited to held its 3rd annual Bard on the Bay performance in Collingwood with Shakespeare's As You Like it. OUTDOORS at the Collingwood Amphitheatre on Sundays at 1pm & 6pm and Monday evenings at 6pm.
Our Bard on the Bay performances were offered to the community as a pay-as-you-are-able event. Our goal is to make theatre accessible and affordable for our audiences. This way, families can all come and enjoy an evening of theatre without breaking the bank.
SYNOPSIS
Forced into exile in the Forest of Arden, lovers Rosalind and Orlando become entangled in a beguiling game of love, lust and mistaken identity.
William Shakespeare's As You Like It, is a comedy thought to have been written in 1599. It follows the story of Rosalind, a heroine fleeing persecution. The play contains some of Shakespeare's most famous and well-known lines, many spoken by a character she meets in the Forest of Arden, Jacque.
